In this fast-paced world it is easy to get disconnected. It is easy to become an overly-consumer when advertisements are directed to you day in & day out. On every weekends watch a movie & dine at restaurants. Such cleverly propagated thoughts have led to the rising of consumerism & debts.
We focus more on spending than saving. Here are cool ways to spend your Holidays:
1. Spend time with family.
Do not go for a movie! It is always better to spend quality time with your family members & engage in conversations with them. Ask them how they are doing in their life. Try to find out if you can help them in any way.
With the advent of Social Media every one is hooked to their phones & rarely talk to each other. So, at least on Holidays sit & talk for long hours. It will strengthen the familial bonds.
2. Buy fruits & vegetables.
Go out in the evening & buy fresh fruits & vegetables with your spouse & children.
3. Wash clothes.
You not only save money but your body also gets exercised in a way.
4. Cook together.
Make it a habit to prepare new dishes on weekends together. It will help all your family members in learning how to prepare new dishes. It will also inculcate the spirit of cooperation among them. It is a better deal than dining at restaurants.
Go for a long-walk together.
6. Discuss long-term goals.
Discussing long-term goals with your family members. It informs them of “why” you are doing something & what you will be doing in near future. It also gives them a fair idea about opportunities & challenges that they will be facing soon (as each of your decisions affect other family-members directly). So, it gives them enough time to prepare themselves for it.
