Indeed life is tough.
I liked the movie Ghajini very much. I watched it repeatedly. It was released in 2008. After five years from then in 2013, Jiya Khan committed suicide. That was indeed breath-taking & disheartening.
Now, it’s Pratyusha Banerjee (Anandi of Balika Vadhu) who kept the audience mesmerized with her performance is no more due to same reason. She was doing very well in life. (It’s a myth).
>Suicidal Tendency is like termite.
It eats you from within. More often, one finds it difficult to share the difficulties one is currently facing. It’s hard to come out from suicidal tendencies. Damn hard. It’s like poverty trap.
>What you can do?
-LISTEN: It comforts the person in pain.
-BE WITH THEM: People with suicidal tendencies need constant boost up. They just need a straw to catch up with life. Sometimes it could be your words that can keep them alive. Other times it could be your affection and care.
-Unheard Cry for Help: Suicide can be termed as “unheard cry for help” because the people with suicidal tendencies send out signs of “I need help” & more often we miss to hear their voices. They are aching for help. They are crying for some help. It is prolonged suffering that leads one to take extreme steps.
Suicide represents our failure as a society. You just have to light up a ray of “HOPE” to pull someone out from taking the extreme step.
