Why I convinced myself to work-hard?

Why I convinced myself to work-hard?

Since I was born into a middle-class family, I don’t have to get up each day to make an arrangement for food. I get in on my table (I know there are lots of souls who deserve more than me).
Since I was born into a middle-class family, I don’t have to bother about my hefty fee of my engineering college. I’m blessed to be an engineer (I know there are lots of souls who deserve more than me).
Since I was born into a middle-class family, I don’t have the luxury to throw parties sometimes (not each day, not on every week, not on every month but yes 4-5 times in a year) (I know there are lots of souls who deserve more than me).
Since I was born into a middle-class family, I could start my journey as a blogger (which has transformed me completely).

Why I decided to work-hard?

>Your best friend
Hard-work is your best friend. If you work-hard passionately then you can live beyond your fears. You now whatever worse may happen but you’ll be able to go through. I always wanted to be fearless & hard-work is one such thing that allows one to take maximum risk & live life to the fullest.

>No other option
How would you serve the world? By working hard to develop something that will help in uplifting others, something that will help others too to perform at their peak-level.
There is no more bliss than performing at the highest possible-level in life. We are naturally happier when we are growing.
>At least
You are provided with all the facilities to get an education & to express yourself in the world through your skills & talents.
So, work-hard & play at genius level.

What every young entrepreneur must know?

What every young entrepreneur must know?

Entrepreneurship entails hell lot of work. In initial days it is really tough to work like a machine. When you start from scratch “progress you make in each day” counts.

image

Entrepreneurship is tough

>Show Up
When you start your journey as an entrepreneur you cannot say “no” to your clients & customers. Since you are new in an industry trying to establish yourself so each “act counts”, each customer has a huge value, & each investor who likes the idea behind your start-up is important to you.

>Sleep-deprivation
There are going to be days when you shall miss your sleep else you lose an opportunity. So, what opportunity stands at you today may not be present tomorrow. You have to seize it as an entrepreneur.
Be ready to sacrifice your sleep at times. Rest is for people without dreams. If you have dreams then go after it like a mad man.

>2-3 years of extreme work
If you are a first generation entrepreneur then choose entrepreneurship as a career only if you are willing to work hard at extremes for 2-3 years. After that you would have learned the art of entrepreneurship & would have successfully built a good team. So, the path ahead would be easy. But in the beginning you have to work a lot. There is no escape.

I can assure you one thing- you’ll enjoy the journey as an entrepreneur.

What failures really mean?

What failures really mean?

We all are equally divine. No matter if you just failed in an examination or made it a success. Failures just represent that “you were not prepared & couldn’t perform at your highest possible level”.
There could be bunch of valid reasons for failures that we must consider while judging ourselves in context of failures. It doesn’t count what people around you say when you fail. Do your own analysis why did you fail.

image

Failures are just stepping stones

-It could be no-interest in what you tried. Simply you might be just acting against yourself. It’s even harder to make it to success when you extremely loathe doing what is required from you.

-You might not be well (physically or mentally). So, if that is the reason for your failures then you can start afresh and make a new attempt.

-Being naïve
Most of the first start-ups fail because the people behind it don’t have the requisite skills to make their venture successful in first attempt. So, at times the reason for failures is lack of skills. Identify what all skills & tools you require in order to succeed. Learn those skills. We learn a lot from our experiences. People who try again & launch a new venture have high probability of getting success in business world.

>You have gained something
Each failure pushes you closer to success. So, if you want to be highly-successful in life increase the rate of your failure.
Failures just show that you’re trying something. Now, I fail almost each day & it is way of my life.
Sometimes, I fail to meet the deadlines & other times laziness embraces me.
But one thing is I’m sure about is that “I’m enjoying the journey”.

How to get better at giving commands?

How to get better at giving commands?

One skill that every entrepreneur must learn is “giving orders/directions”. You’ll have to guide & direct the people working with you & also your subordinates.
If the guidelines & instructions are written then they need to be drafted in a manner that they are lucid & easy to follow. It must not be ambiguous & open to multiple interpretations.

image

How to get better at giving commands?

>Work under/with someone
The best way to learn this skill is by working with someone who has worked in a corporate sector for a long-time. All top managers of companies have mastered the art of “giving directions to subordinates”.
As said, “first receive & take commands”, soon you’ll learn how to give commands.
-I work with Mr. Anil Kumar Srivastava, Ex. DGM, ITI, Rae Bareli, U.P. & currently he is working as a Motivational Speaker & Corporate Trainer. What I learned from him was how to “give directions, receive feedbacks, negotiate, & influence people”.

-I review books at my blog, so, I get a chance to interact with writers & authors. So, with time I have learned how to interact with others professionally through e-mails, social networking sites & through phone.

-Guide aspiring bloggers
I have guided many aspiring bloggers & I still do so. So, I practice the art of “giving commands” each day. You can do so by learning something & teaching it to others.
>Establish yourself as a freelancer
It will surely improve your written communication skills. You’ll get a chance to interact with your clients & in a way it would be an opportunity for you to hone your skills.
Or if you can hire a freelancer, it shall be much better. Give directions & with time you’ll get better.

Some life hacks about “giving commands”:
-They must be clear & concise
-They must state a deadline

When I have to request for a blog post, I use “Hi, I’m a blogger at http://www.stayfoolish2day.wordpress.com would be glad to publish a guest blog post by you on your experiences @……… on my blog under your name.
Just write an article about your experiences @….. ..in about 400-500 words. I shall edit it & post it on my blog.
Be sure to keep it positive & yes, you can include the name of your friends & mentors.”

And once the invitation is accepted I ask for a deadline. Observe it carefully. It has all the directions & is easy to follow.

Why you should always call yourself an “average”?

Why you should always call yourself an “average”?

No matter how far you may go in life & what all you achieve you must always refer to yourself as an “average”.
>Scope for yourself
You must always improve yourself. No matter how much you may learn there are still many things we remain ignorant about. So, keep learning. Let what Steve Jobs said, “STAY HUNGRY STAY FOOLISH” be one of the principles of your life.
If you start considering yourself as a pro or expert there remains no scope for your improvement.

>Scope for others
One of the basic etiquette while interacting with others is to make them comfortable. Uneasiness creates barriers to communication. How can one be at ease if you try to portray yourself as superior?
The friendship grows by genuinely taking care of others & guiding them (if you can).
If you are performing at a greater level then if you can make someone believe that “it’s possible for him/her too” is one of the finest forms of success possible for you on Earth.
People will think “Yaar! Apne Jaisa Hi Hai…If he can then we too can do”.
Always remember, “The impact you have on others is the most valuable currency there is” –Jim Carrey

>Be humble
Never forget where you come from. Be humble & generous. Your first duty is to act as human-being & others are secondary.

Why you must be simply “not interested”.

Why you must be simply “not interested”.

Never take interest in someone’s personal life. It is of no significance to you. Take charge of your own life. Be very dedicated to your duties & responsibilities.

image

Not interested.

>Celebrities
They may be eating at a restaurant (you may not have heard of if you are from middle class), they may be seem to be very “open” & may express themselves confidently, they may be going through break-ups or there might be news about “what clothes they shall wear in the upcoming movie”, & the list may continue.
Many choose to express their views on them, their behaviour & about their personal lives.
Stop it! Damn stop it. It is of no concern to you what everyone else does.

>Celebrities are different from role model
Not all celebrities are ethical. Not all movie stars worth being fan of. Don’t be an idiot to believe “what’s played on the screen” may not have any resemblance to the reality.
Acting, being good at your art is one thing & being a good human is another. Both are different from one another.
Even crooked & wicked people succeed in life that doesn’t mean that they are worth replicating & learning from.

>Biographies
Read only biographies of great people. They could act as your role model. Role models change with time. Actually it is the ideas that we like & that resonates with our inner-self.

>Not-interested
Be simply not interested in “what that doesn’t add any real value” to your life. Reading junk will make your mind defunct.
Why are you so much interested into a project/movie that is going to be launched soon?
Have you worked upon your projects in life? If not then please finish off with them before you watch your next movie.

Why most engineers are struggling?

Why most engineers are struggling?

Once the most coveted profession now is witnessing a trend of massive unemployment & is unable to pace up with the industrial leanings & its demands.

image

Why most engineers are struggling?

>Out-dated syllabus
Curriculum of engineering has not been able to pace up with the industrial needs. With the development of high-end technologies what institutions need to do is to focus more on hands-on training than on theoretical concepts. Technocrats need to be equipped with elective subjects that are new & will see a surge in future in the industry. New avenues have been developed & there is critically a need of man-power in those avenues.

>No trends of self-learning
Self-learning is one of the best available option. But most technocrats are unwilling to self-learn. Though self-learning is must for life not just your career. Teachers & faculties in technical institutions need to encourage the spirit of self-learning.

>Relocation
Most engineers come from a humble background. So, relocation after job is one of the major problems for engineers. Relocation to a new city takes away a major portion of their salaries. Renting & lodging charges increase when they get married. Education is also very expensive in these cities. But the irony is that you’ll send your child to the best possible school even though it may be very daunting task to afford such lavish education. The commercialization of education is one of the worst evils of the society.
